A few things you may (or may not) know about Moi

1. I live in Sharjah, UAE - was born and bred in this country, although I am an Indian by nationality.

2. I am right handed but I can use my left hand to operate the comp mouse!

3. I love reading books - mysteries, family drama, thrillers, suspense, horror, espionage, comedy - in short almost all types of fiction. One thing I can't stand is the M&B type of stories!!!

4. I have one sis, who's almost 10 years younger to me. She's my lifeline to sanity, the apple of my eye - I really dread to think about what I would've done or where I would've ended up if it hadn't been for Quds. She's tuff on the outside, but totally soft and fragile inside... She's given up a lot for my sake... She thinks I don't realise it... and I don't know how to make up for it...

5. I am single but one day hope to find the love of my life.

6. I have one dog, several hens and roosters, 2 turtles and several fish. I love cats... actually I love animals

7. Not proud to say this, but... I am a very laid-back person... almost to the point of being downright lazy... Am messy, but I still know where my things are in all that mess - until and unless someone (read that as MOM) tries to clear it all up!!!

8. I love playing games that stimulate my lil grey cells. Crosswords, sudoku, scrabble...

9. I write poetry in two languages - English and Urdu (which is my mother tongue).

10. I LOVE watching movies - again the same tastes rule as in reading.

11. I do not participate in any sport or any kind of strenuous physical activity - until and unless I am threatened to do so

12. I love moonlit, starlit nights... and often dream of walking arm-in-arm with HIM on the beach on a starry moonlit night... let's hope i find HIM first and soon.

13. I have a driving licence but I don't drive as I am afraid I'll smash into another car and cause serious injury to others. My mom and sis try to boost my confidence, but somehow I just can't snap out of it.

14. My dad passed away a few years back and I miss him... So many things were left unasked, unsaid, unanswered...

15. My Mom is a fantastic person... her only flaw is that she's a perfectionist with high expectations... and I haven't been able to meet any of her expectations yet... She's one tuff cookie and has been thru a lot...

16. There was a time when I used to love cooking... now it's just another chore that needs to be done...

17. Although I tried, I never could get the hang of how to do the following: knitting, cutting and stiching clothes and standing up for myself.

18. I love travelling, but I haven't been able to do so for a very long time... the last time I was on a plane was on 13th September 1998!!!

19. I hate shopping and I hate bargaining even more - the only time I actually enjoy shopping is when I'm in either a bookshop, music store or toyshop.

20. I love dolls and stuffed toys - there was a time when I had over 300 dolls in my room alone - not to mention the ones that were used as deco pieces around the rest of the house... but that time has now passed... but not my passion for dolls

21. I'm not a very ambitious person as far as career goes. Right now I have only one dream but I don't know what to do to achieve it - I want my sister to be happily married and settled with the guy she loves.

22. Religion-wise, I believe in God, but that's it... I do not like to limit myself and my thoughts by calling myself a Muslim. I prefer to think of myself as a spiritualist - and I follow and respect all religions. I do not believe in segregating and criticising people solely on the basis of their religion

23. I don't mind climbing to the highest tower... it's the climbing down that scares me... both literally and figuratively.

24. I love socialising and sitting around with friends. I love talking - at the same time I am a good listener as well.

25. I signed up with Facebook to search for two of my closest childhood friends... I found one of them... am still on the lookout for the other. In the process I met so many wonderful people, who in their own way have made quite an impact on my life. Thank you all.
